Shorty was my lovely neighbor and friend in the early 80's when we lived at 2121 Blake Street. He was the kindest person, and we would frequently have long talks on the balcony about everything! I really loved him, Darlene and Darlecia! They came to my wedding to Patrick in 1989 in Berkeley, and I gave my bouquet to sweet little Darlecia to take home. Shorty was one of a kind...wise, gentle, funny, kind and empathetic. I'm so very sad to learn of his passing! 😢 Sending condolences, love and peace to Darlene and Darlecia.

To the Miller family, my deepest and sincere condolences. Kenny and I were best friends for more than 50 years. He was more than a friend to me. He was more like my brother. We shared similar life experiences. We both were Tuskegee University alums, we are members of the same fraternity and we both have a daughter who are the same age. With his passing, a part of me is gone.
